In February of 2011 sisters Anne Comarda and Joyce Delery opened the doors of Delery Comarda Realtors.  They grew up in a family instilled with the belief that there is always something more to do to make a difference.  They have brought this belief to their company and this new incarnation of their vision.  In partnering with Engel & Völkers, they are able to bring a global presence to the local real estate market.  License Partner Marty Brantley also adds a new dimension to the management team.  Engel & Völkers New Orleans is the Premier Shop for Real Estate in the area.   The brokerage earned the Top Workplaces for 2017 award in the small business category. 

 

Becoming Engel & Völkers

Engel & Völkers, a European-based premium real estate brand, announced the opening of its newest shop, Engel & Völkers New Orleans. The expansion comes with the union between the storied international brokerage and Delery Comarda Realtors, a leading boutique real estate firm serving New Orleans and the surrounding areas.

Joyce Delery, Anne Comarda and Marty Brantley, who together bring 45 years of experience in the marketplace, are the owners of the new shop. The partnership brings 42 real estate advisors to the brand further solidifying the firm’s presence in the southeast.

Engel & Völkers New Orleans, with a main office situated at 722 Martin Behrman Ave in Metairie, will provide leading services for buyers and sellers of premier properties in the New Orleans area, from the Lakefront to Uptown, and from the Faubourg Marigny through Metairie. New Orleans’ diverse culture, unique culinary offerings, lively music scene and dynamic history have helped the New Orleans market attract continued interest for both national and global buyers and sellers.

 Brokerage Leadership

Joyce Delery, as the Broker of the company, brings a background of Sales and Marketing from a tourism perspective to her work.  As Director of Sales and Marketing for Brennan’s Restaurant she traveled the world with the Chefs spreading the word about New Orleans cuisine.  Joyce was also very active in the Royal Street Guild serving as president.  Joyce’s next career move was to New Orleans Steamboat where she worked as Director of Tour and Travel.  She was lured away from there to head the Sales and Marketing department for River Barge Excursion Lines.  She worked there from the inception through the first river excursions.  Selling the City she loves has always come naturally to Joyce.

Sister Anne Delery Comarda brings the same family values but different career experience to the company.  Anne was a stay-at-home mother and volunteer for 15 years.  She spent countless hours at Sacred Heart, Stuart Hall and Jesuit doing whatever needed to be done from serving lunch to chairing the auction and serving as Mother’s Club President.  She also spent time on the Board of The Council of Catholic Schools Co-Operative Clubs.  Her son and 3 daughters kept her busy with activities, especially sports at Lakeview Playgound, NORD Lakeshore All-Stars, Jesuit, Sacred Heart and Tulane Baseball.  In 1995 Anne became a licensed realtor and found her second calling – helping people through some of the most difficult and stressful times in their lives.

Marty Brantley is a Mississippi native, born and raised just up I-55 near Jackson, MS.   After graduate school, he followed his sister to New Orleans when she relocated to practice law.  Marty worked as an administrator at a local university before transitioning to the world of real estate.  He brings experience in technology, project management, office administration and market research as well as the occasional use of his crisis management skills - he helped effectively relocate over 600 university students as Katrina approached New Orleans in 2005 and lead a team of staff in the rebuilding efforts for student residential facilities in the months after landfall.  Marty also remains involved in community charities serving on several committees and boards.

The three leaders, while having different skill sets and work experience, all live the core values of the company – Competence, Exclusivity, and Passion.  They are all dedicated to bringing premier service at every price point to make the real estate transaction a rewarding experience for all.
